Quality is especially important in the manufacturing of our products. Tools and manufacturing systems are subjected to the same meticulous testing requirements at all plants.

Quality checks & testing

We have rigorous testing procedures which are carried out from the development stage through production. Blum’s internal testing standards are based on practical applications of our products and are more stringent than what is required.

Testing requirements Blum hinge systems meet or exceed ANSI/BHMA grade 2 requirements, meaning that Blum tests hinges up to 200,000 cycles - 4 times the ANSI standard. Blum drawer systems meet or exceed ANSI/BHMA grade 1 requirements, meaning that Blum tests drawers up to 100,000 times - twice the ANSI standard.

Quality certifications

Blum's Quality Management System is ISO 9001 certified, which means that our customers can expect consistent quality in every Blum product. Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status is a quality mark indicating that Blum’s role in the international supply chain is secure. To simplify and expedite customs, safety and security procedures, we attained a combined AEO certificate (AEOF) which is recognized by the European Commission.
