Sustainability

A legacy of sustainable practices

Blum has a long-standing commitment to protecting the environment by reducing waste and recycling materials. Our environmental initiatives not only lessen our impact but also improve our efficiency over time.

One of our key practices is reusing materials whenever possible. In many production processes, we blend recycled materials with new raw materials, adjusting the mix to ensure quality in strength and color. For example, our zinc and nylon parts are made in closed-loop processes that generate almost no waste, making production highly efficient and eco-friendly.

Our first sustainability report

In our very first sustainability report, you can see what Blum as a global company is doing to help shape a future worth living.

Environmental protection measures

As a manufacturer, practicing sustainability both inside and outside our facilities is essential. Within our plant, we use reusable plastic and wooden containers to reduce packaging waste. To keep our facility eco-friendly, we have implemented efficient resource and energy management systems, including heat recovery, advanced insulation, heating control, groundwater cooling and LED lighting. Any leftover materials, like batteries, paint and refrigerants, are responsibly disposed of by specialized companies. Additionally, manufacturing in the US helps us reduce transportation emissions, further minimizing our environmental impact.

Adopt-a-Highway

Blum adopted a portion of the highway outside of our facility. Each quarter, our team gets together to devote time to cleaning up our community.
