For the most part, urban living takes place outside our own four walls. Which makes it even more important to have somewhere where we can withdraw to from the hurly-burly of everyday life. With furniture that makes the valuable time we spend at home a real pleasure, furniture with reliable features and plenty of storage space – and all while remaining affordable. In the FOR FUNCTIONAL LIVING area, we showcased some furniture for that very first home of your own.

A complete home office in one piece of furniture

Space for your laptop, office paraphernalia and more – all in the smallest space. With its rollers and tip protection, the Office Tower becomes a mobile standing desk. Offset drawers provide stability, even if they're open at the same time.

Cleverly designed pull-out shelf

The MOVENTO runners are concealed and the pull-out shelf sits on metal brackets, leaving space below for your laptop. When pulled out, the shelf extends your working area to accommodate your documents.

The furniture we choose expresses our personality and has two roles: to satisfy our own desire for cosiness and comfort and to provide a welcoming space in which to entertain others. That it should function perfectly goes without saying. In the FOR INDIVIDUAL LIVING area, we demonstrate how a mass-produced product can become an individual item of furniture that focuses on the details.

Hallway furniture

Minimalist and sleek hallway furniture

When closed, the hallway cloakroom makes a sleek and exclusive impression. It consists of two slim tall cabinets that are connected together by a sideboard. Opening the numerous storage spaces reveals remarkable solutions.

Extraordinary cloakroom cabinet

Coats and handbags are stored behind a wide opening mitred door. The CLIP top 155° wide angle hinge in onyx black complements the dark design of the furniture.

Our mobility concept has resulted in up to 47% of our employees now using sustainable transport for their commute.

We're already saving 2.25 million m³ of gas by recovering the waste heat from our production plants and using it in our air-conditioning systems.

We operate photovoltaic systems at many of our sites. At our premises in China, the system on the 8240 m² of roof space generates 1400 kWp.

Sight restored for 5,000 cataract sufferers

It's become one of our interzum traditions to raise some money for "Light for the World". Visitors to our stand can help us to finance operations that will restore the sight of people in less privileged parts of the world. These donations have enabled us to fund eye operations to the value of 150,000 euros.
